Mr.
Allstates Midatlantic was held on July 31, 2004 at the William Way Community Center.
Proceeds benefitted ASIAC. Special entertainers include the best
in regional drag talent. Contestants compete for cash prizes,
trophies, and a chance to compete in the national pageant in
Richmond, Virginia. This is a male pageant akin to a GQ/runway-style
pageant and will be lots of fun to open minds.
The first episode of this
season's MTV "MADE" features my song, "Techno
World." My Gorgeous
Girl music has now been heard in 11 countries outside
the USA.
Miss
Allstates Midatlantic was held on Saturday, April 24 at the William Way Community Center,
1315 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. Proceeds benefitted the American
Cancer Society. Special entertainers include the best in regional
drag talent. Contestants compete for cash prizes, trophies, and
a chance to compete in the national pageant in Richmond, Virginia.
I was selected to be the hostess for Pure Nightclub's newest party, Pacific Rim, because the promoters wanted an Asian bombshell to meet, greet, and schmooze with guests.
I was asked to be the hostess for two of ASIAC's Jaded Lounge parties. |

you're a crossdressing novice or a seasoned pro, I have a book
for you. Many drag performers and female impersonators got their
starts by reading my books!
In January, my dance track
(a track is an instrumental), Techno World, peaked at
number 27 overall on mp3.com thanks to all of my listeners. This
is a considerable accomplishment considering there are over 800,000

the mini-review in the June 1997 issue with Steven Spielberg
on the cover: "Kalina, Philly's practitioner of Sexy Vampire
Drag, hosts this popular site dedicated to crossdressing and
club culture. The Ask Kalina column offers advice on anything
from applying false eyelashes to letting your girlfriend know
you felt deceived by her stuffed bra. Kalina also pens the delightfully
bitchy Club Culture Magazine, reviews pageants, and sells her
books, remix recordings, and drag duds (all on this site). How
does she find the time to go clubbing?" The Web Magazine
is published by IDG, the number-one publisher of computer magazines,
such as Computerworld, InfoWorld, Macworld, and Network World. |
